Despite a lack of mainstream recognition, Rudy Ray Moore and his character Dolemite have made a major impact on pop culture over the years, most notably in hip-hop. He's also been a pretty influential figure in the annals of Subgenius history, and in my life.
I was inspired to paint his portrait, and I wanted to try using gouache to paint a portrait, so here you have it. I'm not sure I like using gouache... |
